Intercomparisons 2023

CTA is organising in 2023 a new programme of intercomparison tests of acoustic laboratories for the main acoustic scopes.

The registration period will be open from June 7th to July 7th 2023 with a 15% discount on the stipulated rates.

The test scopes offered in the current 2023 acoustics laboratory intercomparison programme are:

• Measurement of airborne sound insulation in buildings and building elements according to UNE EN ISO 16283-1:2015.

• Measurement of the impact sound insulation of buildings and building elements according to UNE EN ISO 16283-2:2021.

• Measurement of the airborne sound insulation of façades of buildings and building elements according to UNE EN ISO 16283-3:2016.

• Measurement of reverberation time in ordinary rooms according to UNE EN ISO 3382- 2:2008.

• Measurement of indoor ambient noise from activities according to Annex IV of Real Decreto 1367/2007.

• Measurement of outdoor ambient noise from activities according to Annex IV of Real Decreto 1367/2007.

• Measurement of ambient noise from activities according to Annex IV of Real Decreto 1367/2007.

• Measurement of vibration index from activities according to Annex IV of Real Decreto 1367/2007.

• Determination of the sound power level of a noise source from the sound pressure. Control method using an enveloping measuring surface on a reflecting plane according to UNE EN ISO 3746:2011.

Centro Tecnológico Acústico, guarantees the appropriate technical conformity as it has a quality system according to UNE EN ISO 17043:2010, and has sufficient experience having organised intercomparison programmes in the field of acoustics over the last few years.

The laboratory intercomparison test campaign organised by Centro Tecnológico Acústico, offers:

• Guarantee of participation of a sufficient number of laboratories in each scope, prior to the formalisation of registration.
• Wide availability and flexibility of dates that allows to adapt the tests to the most appropriate dates for the laboratories within the established margins.
• Evaluaciones iniciales y controles periódicos para todos los ensayos incluidos en el programa con el fin de mantener la homogeneidad de ítems e instalaciones durante la intercomparación.
• Personalised attention both by telephone and in person at the rehearsal site, by specialised personnel.
• Variation of facilities and enclosure characteristics for building acoustics testing and from sound sources for noise tests, compared to previous campaigns.
• Coaching participants in the interpretation of the results.
• Provision of complementary information to facilitate the laboratories' evaluation of their participation and future improvement.
• COVID prevention measures (hydrogel, provision of masks,...).

The programme contains all the information related to the exercise, as well as the pre-registration form, which can be found in Annex 2. In addition, annexed to this programme is a supplier's form in which various aspects of how the programme will be developed are evaluated, in order to be able to justify the evaluation required by section 8 of G-ENAC-14 Rev.1 (September 2008) for those laboratories that require it.
